By confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them before proceeding.
1. Bookings and confirmation
1.1 All booking requests are subject to manual confirmation. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee a booking slot or mean that we have accepted the job.
1.2 We will contact you to confirm availability, the agreed services, the price, the estimated turnaround time and the arrangements for drop-off, collection or delivery, as applicable.
1.3 A contract is formed when we confirm that we accept your booking and the essential details of the service have been agreed.
1.4 We may use independent subcontractors or technicians to carry out some or all of the Services on our behalf. Your contract remains with SkiZilla, and we remain responsible for our obligations to you under the contract and applicable law.
1.5 You must provide accurate contact details and booking information so that we can communicate with you about your equipment and service.
1.6 If we cannot accept your booking, we will let you know. If you have paid any amount in advance for a booking that we do not accept, we will refund that payment.
2. Services we provide
2.1 SkiZilla provides the following services, subject to the condition of your equipment and our confirmation of the work required:
-
Hand waxing.
-
Edge sharpening.
-
Minor ski and snowboard base repairs.
-
Minor top-sheet repairs where agreed.
-
Collection and delivery services where offered and confirmed.
2.2 Our services do not include:
-
Machine base grinding.
-
Binding mounting, adjustment, testing or servicing, including DIN settings.
-
Structural repairs or major base repairs unless expressly agreed in writing.
-
Any work outside the agreed service scope.
2.3 We do not carry out binding work. Our servicing does not constitute a safety inspection or certification of your skis or snowboard. You are responsible for arranging any required binding inspection, adjustment or testing with a suitably qualified technician before use.
2.4 If your equipment requires work outside our normal service scope, we will explain the issue and, where possible, offer an alternative or revised quote. We will not undertake additional chargeable work without your agreement.
2.5 We reserve the right to decline work where the equipment is unsafe to handle, unsuitable for the requested service or damaged beyond what we can reasonably repair.
3. Service results and limitations
3.1 We will carry out the agreed Services with reasonable care and skill.
3.2 Ski and snowboard servicing is subject to the condition, age, construction and existing damage of the equipment.
3.3 Minor base repairs may improve the condition of the base without removing every visible mark. Light scratches may remain visible after repair, including where repair material has been used to fill them. This is normal for minor repairs and does not necessarily indicate defective workmanship.
3.4 We cannot guarantee that all scratches, chips, cosmetic marks or other damage will be removed, or that equipment will perform in a particular way following servicing.
3.5 Please tell us when booking or dropping off your equipment if you have specific edge-angle requirements, P-Tex colour preferences or other service preferences. We will confirm whether we can accommodate them.
3.6 If we identify pre-existing damage or a condition that may affect the work, we will notify you where reasonably practicable before proceeding with any material change to the agreed service.
4. Customer responsibilities
4.1 You must ensure that equipment is reasonably clean and free from excessive dirt, grime or contamination before drop-off or collection.
4.2 You must tell us about any known damage, previous repairs, unusual defects or other issues that may affect servicing.
4.3 Snowboard bindings must be removed before drop-off. We do not provide binding removal or reinstallation as part of our standard services. If bindings have not been removed, we may need to postpone or decline the service until this
